1998 : "The techno music: artistic approach and creative dimension" seminar organized by the association modern comforts, the Conservatoire de Region, space Mendes France and the city of Poitiers.

"The techno music, artistic and creative dimension Approach" was the subject of the second symposium on 22 and 23 January 1998 in Poitiers by the modern comforts and the National Conservatory.
 Book co-edited by the modern comforts and the ARDIAMC Poitou-Charentes.

Under the general title "The techno, a musical movement to a social phenomenon", the Confort Moderne conducted in 1997 and 1998 reflection with researchers, academics, journalists, associations (in particular Technopol) to design and organize two seminars to better understand the various aspects of this movement, to start thinking by collecting and comparing the different views of stakeholders, to give the public an accurate and as comprehensive as possible on this subject.
This second symposium presented to the public organology electronic music, the notion of creation in techno music, the musicological approach of this new musical trend, distribution and receipt of techno. These different approaches have provided a better understanding and identifying the part of the creative contemporary popular music.
